Inviting someone to view or edit your itinerary

You can invite anyone to collaborate on an itinerary. They'll need a free Exohaven account to accept — if they don't have one yet, the link will walk them through signing up first.

Roles explained

• Viewer — can see the itinerary but can't change it. Good for sharing the plan with someone who just wants to know what you're up to.
• Editor — can do everything you can, short of inviting other people or transferring ownership.

Only the owner can invite, revoke invites, or remove collaborators.

Send an invite

1. Open the itinerary.
2. Click Invite in the top-right (next to Edit itinerary). You'll only see this if you own the itinerary.
3. The Share dialog opens.
4. Choose a role — Editor or Viewer.
5. Click Generate link.
6. Click Copy next to the link.
7. Send the link via any channel — email, WhatsApp, iMessage, whatever works.

The recipient pastes the link in their browser. If they're not signed in we route them through sign-up first; when they finish, they land back on the invite acceptance screen.

What the recipient sees

A preview of the itinerary (title, owner, day count) and an Accept invite button. Once they accept, the itinerary appears in their My Experiences alongside their own trips.

Best practices

• Send a viewer link if you're not sure — you can always upgrade later.
• Use one invite link per group rather than per person; it's easier to revoke.
• For very small groups (2–4 people), editor access usually works well. For larger groups, send viewer links and promote one or two to editor.
